Happy New Year! Goodbye 2015. You sucked. Don’t let the door hit you on your way out.
Let’s start 2016 with a finished object. Here is my Socks on a Plane socks. They are one of the three projects for Loopy Academy sophomore year first semester. The requirement for this project is cables. I enjoyed knitting these socks quite a bit. I did flip the pattern and knit the socks cuff down and when it came time to knit the second sock I switched the direction of the cable just to make it reversed like the colors of the yarn. The yarn is Fibernymph Dye Works Inversibles in blue/lemon. The yarn was fun to knit with. It’s smooth with a nice twist. I was very pleased with it and would be happy to knit with it again.
This is for 2016. I hope you’re listening. I hope you will be kinder and more thoughtful than your predecessor. I expect there will be difficult days and easy days and happy days and sad days. Let’s try to strike a balance. I will try to do the same. The challenge I have given myself for this year is balance. This is very difficult for me since I tend towards one extreme or the other in most things. But balance is what I’ll work for this year.
Happy New Year to you! May you find/create the joy for a productive and satisfying year. I understand about 2015 being a year you want to forget. I struck out on my own after 30 years of being married. Today, life is good, better and I expect the best out of 2016.
And I enjoy your posts and look forward to them.
Take care,
