Over the weekend we went to the larger local thrift store. The husband, who is very hard on clothes particularly work clothes, needed a couple of pair of dress pants that were cheap. While he picked out what he wanted I wandered the store and found some yarn! I can’t say no to cheap vintage thrift store yarn. It’s worse if it’s fingering weight. I found two packages each containing 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn. The pink is 400 yards of nylamb by brunswick worsted mills which is 80% super wash extra fine wool and 20% nylon. I have a vintage sock pattern around here somewhere that would be perfect for this yarn! I plan to cast on, eventually. The black is Hjerte twist which is 60% cotton and 40% acrylic (I can’t find this on ravelry). I have no idea what I’ll do with it but I couldn’t just leave it behind. Now they are going into the freezer for a few days to be sure that yarn was the only thing I brought home.
Yarn is always fun to find.

Thrift yarn finds … excellent. Look you already have some pattern ideas lined up for the pink! So you’re keeping with “a project in mind” at thrift store price, right? excellent!

Excellent choices and idea. Always stock up yes. Good to give them a good freeze first as well. 🙂
