Another Sock

Things around here continue to challenge. My father is in rehab after a week in the hospital because he passed out. He seems much better now, well more back to his usual self is more accurate. I’m squeezing an extended daily visit into my day just fine but other things have fallen by the wayside.

N is still loving middle school. He is thriving in a new environment. He has joined the math team and given the cross country team a try. He thinks he’ll concentrate on math team and give cross country a try again in high school. There are too many kids on the team and they have had to schedule each member a single day each month to run. Lacrosse starts up after the first of the year and I know he’s looking forward to that.

I have cast on a new sock which you can assume means I finished the others I was working on. The yarn is Regia Stretch in olive brown. The pattern is a mystery KAL I signed up for but didn’t get to casting on until now. The pattern is Hailstones by Sarah Ronchetti. I’m very happy with the way they’re coming along. My photo doesn’t do the pattern justice. Do take a moment to look at the link.

I’m going to try to be around more. I’m trying a new method of keeping up with things. If you are bothered by cursing you probably want to pass on that link. So far there is an improvement in my time management and hey, my bed is made! Now if I can get to the dishes and laundry in a timely manner I will consider it a win.

I hope your father gets better soon. It sounds like your son is really doing well in middle school if not flat out thriving. I will have to check out this link later. I don’t mind cursing at all … said the sailor. ha!

Always happy to see you knitting, love to see your socks. Knit strong and happy.

Hope things continue to get better. I’ll pass on that site. Just don’t get why the language has to be used. Kind of detracts from what they are trying to do. But then, I must be an old fuddy-duddy! LOL.
