Highlights Of The Week

After years of waiting patiently for the Clematis to look like it’s thriving, we are finally there. The plant is covered in blooms with many buds. I am so pleased. It makes me smile every time I look at it. Now I suppose it’s time to do something about the lawn.

The other thing that has me really excited is the announcement of the next project for Camp Loopy. The requirement for the second project is to choose a project or yarn that reminds you of a favorite place to vacation or relax. I knew right away I had to find something that has to do with the ocean. For me there is no place more relaxing. I like to watch the waves, feel my toes in the sand and enjoy the fresh salt air. When taking into consideration the requirements for the project I decided it was finally time to knit the knee socks I have wanted to knit for years. I haven’t decided on a pattern for sure yet but I’m considering a few. Picking out the yarn was a no brainer. I knew I wanted something mostly solid and the yarn had to have nylon. After just a short time of looking at choices I decided on Sweet Georgia tough love sock in riptide. The color in the link is more accurate than in my photo. My camera wants it to be blue when it is more green in real life. Now I just have to wait until July 1st to cast on. I better get the Stitch Surfer socks done too.

Wow – your dlematis has really taken off! Hope mine will do the same someday, sigh…. It has lots of healthy looking leaves, but no blooms this year (at least none that I’ve noticed). LOVE the yarn for your next camp project – beautiful color! Maybe you can wear your knee socks to the beach…..

  4. Interesting to read about the clematis (and yours looks beautiful). I love clematis, but wondered why none of mine flower yet. Do I just need to be patient a bit longer?
