Update On My Dad

Thank you so much for the good thoughts. Nothing is broken. He went over sideways so he’s bruised down his arm and hip. He also hit his head but had a c-scan and all looks normal there. He does have a UTI and will spend a few days in the hospital on IV antibiotics for that. He was a little more confused when he was moved out of the ER and into a room but once we’d sat and talked for a while he was much better.

Sitting and visiting is good for my knitting. I turned the heel on my sock. I also received some compliments on the sock. It’s always fun to have people appreciate knitting skills.

I’m glad it’s not too serious and that your family lives close enough to be there for each other to support each other quickly. I have heard that UTIs as you get older can sometimes contribute to some confusion. I wish him a speedy recovery and all the best.

So glad to hear that your dad is doing better and that he didn’t break any bones or hurt his head. Hopefully he will be able to go home soon. Good thing you had a pretty sock on the needles to help you through all this!

Seems strange to “like” a post like this – but I’m really glad that it was nothing too serious and scary. Here’s hoping you all have a restful and quiet and incident free long weekend.
