Sometimes I’m Ashamed Of Where I Come From

Have you heard about this? I can understand a lawyer using a loop hole to get a client off but this is insanity. What do you think?

I didn’t even need to click the link to know what you were talking about. It’s disgusting and clearly the law/loop hole needs to be changed. Until it’s changed, my advice, don’t wear a skirt in public!

That’s crazy. What kind of world do we live in? When should that be allowed no matter what the laws? That a judge would allow such invasion of privacy is nuts.

  5. that article actually makes me proud of our judicial system, and here’s why: even though it’s obvious that it should be illegal, a person in this country cannot be penalized for breaking a law that SHOULD exist.

The judges in this case did exactly what they were supposed to do by upholding the currently existing law. If you read all the way through the article, they are supporting the DA’s office in working with the state legislature to get the law changed.

Legislation is often playing catch-up with new technology and new forms of depravity, but I never want to live in a country where I could be punished for doing something that is not yet illegal.

Yikes! I think the actions of the person charged is horrible. However the law is the law. I’m with stitchesnscraps on this one. The law is technical not emotional, if we changed things it would defeat the purpose of the process/judicial as well as legislative. I’m glad they are working to change the law. However at the end of the day, this guy should know without being taken into a court room that this is wrong. I highly doubt this guy represents where you come from 🙂 That’s Knitville, USA right?
