FO Friday On Monday

There is a lesson in this photo: Don’t place a wet cast iron skillet on a plastic tablecloth.

I sort of lost Friday and most of the weekend. I can’t blame Halloween, turning the clocks or really anything else. It’s crazy how that sometimes happens. I do have happy knitting news to report: I completed my socks and they have turned out wonderfully. So well in fact that they are on my feet as I type this. There is something hopeful about starting the week wearing new striped socks. The yarn is Biscotte & Cie Felix in what I think is smokescreen. The pattern is my standard stockinette pattern over 64 sts that I keep in my head. I am unbelievable pleased with the fact that I somehow managed to match the stripes. To be honest, they are off by one row at the toe but that is better than I usually get. I love these socks and this yarn and I’m looking forward to casting on another sock soon.

  4. Fantastic stripe matching. I plan to learn the ‘two at a time’ method before I try to match stripes!

My OCD loves the symmetry in the stripes!!! And my cold feet envy your sock collection. I have two pair hand made socks left in my collection. Maybe someday I will return to sock knitting.
