WIP Wednesday: The Road To Hell…

I fully intended to spend my day yesterday knitting. I like to try to carve out one day where I spend a few hours home, nearly alone, knitting and catching up on TV. It didn’t happen. I ended up bringing The Husband his glasses that he forgot and then taking my mother for what should have been one errand but turned into three and then could I put my father’s pills in the little plastic boxes for the week and figure out which ones need to be requested from the doctor. Then it was time to pick up N, go to Kumon, pick up H and get dinner. Typical Tuesday really. I was thinking of trying again today but I’ve got to get the house in order and do laundry and dishes and reblock Celestarium for the Topsfield Fair. Maybe next week.

Last night I did get to knit maybe 4 rows on Arroyo. Earlier in the week I started the heel on my sock. Arroyo is being knit with Stonehedge Fiber Mill Shepherd’s Wool Worsted in granite. I cast on with size 10 needles to insure the edge is loose enough when it’s time to block and I’m knitting with size 8s. The sock is being knit in Regia Silk Color in 184. The pattern is my usual over 64sts with a size 1 1/2 needle.

I know it’s annoying when your knitting plans don’t happen, but at least when you do get the chance to sit, knit and catch up on tv, it feels even better!

Some days there just isn’t enough time to get everything done. Re-shuffle priorities and needs and before you know it …. it’s too late and time for bed. And so it starts again the next day. Hope you manage to get in some quality knitting time this week, somewhere, sometime. 🙂
