H’s salad garden

H has loved her job at the library. She really missed her calling. Majoring in library science would have been perfect for her. She’d be a great children’s room librarian. This month she’s been running some STEM classes for the kids. They’ve done circuits and electricity and KNEX building. She was able to help out with a GROWUMS class last week.

N on the other hand has decided that he is too old to do these sorts of things. *sigh* I hate this stage. Fortunately H doesn’t let him get away with this attitude. She got him a ticket for the GROWUMS class and he enjoyed it more than he had expected. We’ll be reminding him of this when we suggest (with force) that he does a few more classes.

So what’s the news? H will be leaving her library job (and Kumon job) at the end of the month. She has been applying for jobs in her field for over a year now and finally got a great job. It’s full time with benefits and a nice salary. I am relieved. She is thrilled and excited for what comes next. She’s talking about buying a car and a house. I’m hoping she survives the first week.

Congrats to H, yeah you seem to be back to normal, and N will likely never show how much fun he really is having at one of these programs. He is so over that Mom! LOL

Those salad/taco gardens look delicious! Congratulations to H!!! I know she will do great. She’ll probably always have a special place in her heart for the library (maybe she can volunteer there once she’s got the car, the house, and a few promotions under her belt). 🙂

H is doing so well! Ho’omaka’i on her new job. My gosh a real salary and benefits. Makes all the difference. Her current summer jobs sound so much fun, especially the library gig. I need to look into mini herbs for my kitchen window sil. I assume N is in the teen phase?

Oh, I’m sure you have mixed feelings about H’s new job. I presume she’s been living at home and now will be setting out on her own. N will miss her more than he knows. I’ve been in his shoes with an older sibling leaving the nest. Good job on your part as their mother!!
