WIP Wednesday: Hello Old Friend

I am back to knitting plain old socks again. You know how people say when they are busy that their plate is full. Well mine is pouring off the plate, over the edge of the table and puddling on the floor. But mine isn’t busy, mine is stress. Things are off the scale around here this week. It will calm down but it’s going to take a couple of weeks. So because of that I am back to plain old soothing knitting. Something that moves along mindlessly and is suddenly done. I’ll try to pull a UFO out and evaluate it for completion by the end of the month but at this point that might require too much of me.

The yarn is Crock-O-Dye in color 757. The pattern is the usual 64 sts on a size 1 1/2 needle.

Do you notice a difference between metal needles and wooden or bamboo? I really prefer the wooden ones, for no particular reason.

Hope things settle down soon and that all will be right in your world again. “Mindless” knitting is such a good stress/tension buster. As for simple … well sometimes the simplest things are more than enough in and of themselves, yes? Besides, the colorway is absolutely brilliant.
