Back before Christmas I was watching Knit One Heart Too (great video podcast by the way) and Wendy had knit the cutest Elf Hat. I knew I had to knit one for N. I picked up the yarn and then just didn’t get to it until last week. The pattern is Elf Hat by Reenie Hanlin available for free on Ravelry. I used two skeins of Red Heart Soft, one really red and one guacamole. Even though the yarn is held double, I had quite a bit of yarn left over so the two skeins will likely knit two hats if you switch the order of the colors which would be really cute. I skipped the felted ears but added a bell to the top. As you can see N was quite pleased to give it a try.
