A Good Knitting Weekend

I managed to squeeze in quite a bit of knitting over the weekend along with the usual laundry and such. The second sock is nearly ready for the heel and I have decided on a quickie project that I will cast on when the socks are done.

Of course into every weekend there has to be a little unpleasantness. Ours was last night. We scheduled the dog to have his teeth cleaned today so his dishes had to be picked up off the floor before we went to bed because he was to have no food or water after midnight. Simon is getting old. He’ll be 13 next week which means he’s showing some of the signs of being old, like forgetting things. Once he discovered that his water dish was gone he proceeded to look for it all night long. He would walk through the house his nails clicking on the hardwood floors and not find it so he’d come to bed. Then he’d decide he was thirsty and he’d repeat the process. We’re all tired today. If you could think some kind thoughts for Simon I’d really appreciate it. We’re a little worried about old dog + anesthesia= something bad.

    The socks look great!
Poor Simon! I have the same fears about anesthesia and pets. It seems to be harder on them than humans…hope all goes well.
