It Never Fails

N and I had a lengthy conversation on the way to the Pinewood Derby over the weekend. I said that it isn’t important to win. Building a cool car that you are proud of is what matters. Spending time with your father or whoever oversees you is more important than winning some trophy. I explained that some parents are over-involved with the building and their cars are a bit more professionally done. Basically don’t get your hopes up on winning. I don’t know why I wasted my voice. He won his group so in a few weeks he will be competing in districts. Go N!

Hooray! It’s so true how any parent can be like a stage mom, getting way too involved in what’s supposed to be a child’s project.
