Capturing The Frost

It’s so hard to capture in photo the hard frost we got last night. The grass is coated, as are the last few remaining leaves on the lawn. There is a thick crust on the cars and roof shingles. As the sun rises it glistens. There is a clean cold smell to the air. And then it is gone.

It’s an elusive thing to photo. We had rain that froze on and coated everything. I wish I had taken pics but I knew they wouldn’t turn out the way I wanted…we had a glistening world for a few days though…

So that’s what I’m missing by not getting up early in the morning!! Neat photo.

Frost, I like frost, it is not quite snow and not quite ice. The best of both worlds. Love the photo!
