What A Week

I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am that this week is over. Don’t get me wrong, next week will be busy but this week I really could have used a clone. At least three times my life would have been a lot easier if I could be in two places at once. My father had three doctor appointments that turned into four, all in Boston. H is currently working three part time jobs. I spent a lot of time in the car playing chauffeur and scheduler orchestrating the times who had to be where. It all worked out and everyone managed to get to where they needed to be more or less when they had to be there. All this left me feeling very drained and lacking in brain power. I was relieved each night when I finally settled into bed to knit that I had a project that fit my needs. I knit Wingspan exclusively. It’s growing more slowly than the last one since the yarn, Patons Lace, is more of a light fingering weight and the other, Zauberball Crazy, was a heavy fingering weight. So far the Patons Lace is OK to knit with. It is 80% acrylic, 10%mohair and 10% wool. The yarn is leaving what I would call mohair hairs everywhere. I hope it stops once it’s knit and blocked. The color on the other hand is very pleasing so in the end I may be able to overlook the fact that it sheds.

SPIDER Update: She’s back! Almost in the same spot she’s spun a large web and seems to be settling back in. I’m relieved I won’t find her walking across my bedroom ceiling.

Yay no ceiling spiders! Sorry to hear how long your week was, I hate weeks like those 😦 But your wingspan looks lovely and I know you will be so happy and grateful to have it when you are done.

Hope your dad’s appointments turned out ok.
Yup, it’s kinda miserable to spend most of a week in the car!
Hope you have a good weekend!
