Quirky Vacation Stop

Mom, the sun is in our eyes!

Anyone who has ever driven along I-95 from the northeast to the southeast has seen all the signs for South Of The Border in SC. It’s location is perfect for a brief stop in the midst of a very long drive. All the billboards which are placed at regular intervals for miles and miles draw everyone in the car who is tired of sitting in one place. Of course we stopped.

Since our time was limited, and Pedro had so much for us to chose from, we decided on a quick trip through the Reptile Lagoon. The others in my family all love reptiles. I happily went along looking into the enclosures relieved to see that almost everyone looked well fed and completely contained.

I may have nightmares about this snake though. It was so HUGE I couldn’t get the whole thing in the camera frame. Also, I think it was hungry.

Not fond of reptiles…especially the snaky kind!

That snake is pretty big! We used to have one like it at our local zoo before it outgrew it’s enclosure.
