Monday Miracles

The color is still not right

I worked a bit more on the sock and not at all on the something else. No miracle there. I tried taking a photo in the sun (Yes! Sun!) without a flash but then I still had to play around with the color in the photo editor in the hope of hitting on the right shade. Yeah, not so much, though closer than the other day. I am pleased with the way the sock looks and really that’s all that matters. The yarn is Regia Blitz color in 2526.

A week or so ago N brought a bean plant home from school. They had just planted them a day or two before and we were going to get the excitement of seeing the bean poke through the soil. Yeah, not so much. The bean seed poked through the soil and then the whole thing stopped doing anything. My mother heard the story from N and planted him a few sunflower seeds in a little pot. Look one sprouted and the others look like they could be starting too! Now if I can keep them alive that will be a big miracle.

What’s college?

H is graduation from college. Wait. Did I just type that? Could it be true? That’s what her advisor says. She is getting a real diploma and everything. Well maybe not a cap and gown since she forgot to order them. We (the husband and I) have been in deep denial not wanting to get our hopes up. We won’t believe it until we see the ink on the paper with her name which we’ve been told will likely be spelled wrong. But still she is graduating. Now that is a miracle!
