FO Friday: A Parade Of FOs

I am very bad at keeping secrets. Well, not all secrets. I do really well with things told to me in confidence but I do very bad when it comes to gifts. I just get so excited about whatever it is I tend to spill the beans. This time I managed to keep my mouth closed until the time was right. A major feat for me.

So cute!

Liz, my knitting neighbor, had a baby last week. I have known for months and months about the impending arrival of a new little one but waited until she knew the gender to decide on something to knit. I knew I had to knit a pair of socks. That’s obvious. I had some of the fabulously soft ravelry red Malabrigo sock yarn leftover so I cast on Infant socks by Judy Ellis. I love that sock pattern. It is perfect for anyone interested in learning to knit socks. The pattern is very similar to adult size socks but it only takes a few days to complete a pair.

Cute but manly

With the socks completed I wanted something else. Something cute but practical. I had seen Milo on ravelry and thought it fit the bill perfectly. I used Debbie Bliss Rialto Dk in 23033- dark gray. The yarn is super soft and the pattern very well written. I highly recommend both.

Next are the Regia socks I showed you on Wednesday. I was able to steal a morning and evening of knitting time and got them done. The yarn is Regia design line in 6451. The pattern is the usual one I have in my head.

Nom Nom!

Sheldon was displeased that his FO photo shown last week wasn’t flattering or on FO Friday so I told him I would include him here. He requested that I take his photo while he was eating so he would look happy and relaxed. The yarn is Berocco Comfort in 9740 and 9752.

If you’d like to read more FO Friday posts be sure to visit Tami’s Amis blog.

Pardon the irregularly sized photos. Photobucket has updated their editing software and I am trying to learn how to use it. I really wish they would leave an option to use the old stuff until you learn the new stuff.

I do love tiny baby socks. I have a few pairs that I made for Little Man. Unfortunately, they didn’t do well on him (i.e., he kicked them right off). Oh well….they were cute and fun šŸ™‚

This is a great parade (especially with the adorable Sheldon and his lettuce finishing it out!). I love the socks, they look gorgeous in that red yarn, and the Milo is lovely.
