Two Lips?

No no. Tulips!

The flowers are blooming so oddly this year what with all the warm temperatures in March. The earlier daffodils are spent but the tail end ones are still in bloom as the tulips open. That is weird. The forsythia is in full bloom as the lilacs are ready to open. It’s so unusual to see each flower’s blooming blend into the next. It is very nice for the constant bit of color. The dip in temperatures created a refrigerator at the florist type effect so things that should be gone by aren’t. The opening of the leaves on the trees has slowed. The buds are plump and ready to burst. The flowering trees are at full bloom and have been for a few days. It’s all really quite lovely.  The husband isn’t happy though. His usual few days of allergy has turned into weeks long. This too shall pass, eventually.

Seems like everyone is posting about spring flowers. I wish I had some close by, but I guess that’s the downfall of living in an apartment.

We’ve got florist refridgerator cold too. If it ever warms up again we’ll have spring busting out all over! But right now there are no flowers and no trees with leaves.
I’ve heard that allergies are exceptional this year. Give your husband my sympathies. 🙂
