Casting On Something New

Or maybe it’s someone new. N has been wanting me to knit something for him. He has also been asking if he can have a real live turtle. After explaining that no, he can’t have a turtle because he has a guinea pig I said I would be happy to knit him a turtle. Enter Sheldon, the turtle. A reasonable compromise. N joined me on the yarn crawl and picked out a couple of skeins of green yarn in the shades he wanted for his Sheldon. The yarn is Berroco Comfort worsted in colors 9740 and 9752. I’m looking forward to casting on hopefully later today. After a week of neglect the house is a mess so I have to clean first. See everything here is all about compromise.

I love Sheldon! I have the pattern and the yarn too…how about a knit along?! I have made the same deal with myself…house cleaning first, knitting second. I might not get to my knitting at all today…yup, house is THAT bad 😦

Hope your neck is better today.
I’m housecleaning too…only not my house. Our foreign workers are arriving on Friday and Saturday and I need to get their house in order.
