Warning: Bragging Ahead

N has been doing the Kumon program since he was 4 though he did do some worksheets before then to get him interested. H had done Kumon and worked at our local center so it was natural for N to do it too. The children are encouraged to work at their own pace and excelling is encouraged. This suits both H and N well since things move slowly at school and they tend to get bored. One of the big goals set for the children is to reach Level G by 5th grade. Level G is algebra. Yes, high school math. I am proud to say that N reached Level G in December 2011, 3 months into 3rd grade. YAY N!!

Way to go N!!!! I am so jealous – I’m a complete idiot at math….probably because there wasn’t a cool program like Kumon back in the dark ages. šŸ™‚

Holy cow. I was so behind in math class, I wish I had known about Kumon as a kid. It probably would have helped me.
