WIP Wednesday: Plugging Along

After laying out the plan for the near future yesterday, what did I work on last night? The plain socks of course. In my defense, by the time I sat down to knit after doing the usual Tuesday ritual which involved a husband who ended up staying late at work, another 13 hour day for him, CCD and homework for N and me making dinner in between trips in the car, I didn’t have the brain power for anything more complex. Plus they were in my knitting bag. At least there is a good amount of progress since last week. Not only did I complete the first sock but I am working on the heel flap of the second. The yarn continues to be a pleasure. It’s Carriage House Woolens (now Pandoras Yarns) CoolWool in hunters glen.

That is a lot of progress! I know what you mean though, some days are definitely days for vanilla sock knitting 😉

Nothing soothing like a good, ol’ basic sock pattern.

Oh, I love the colors in that sock. Hope tonight affords more knitting time.

  7. No need to be defensive about a vanilla sock pattern – stockinette can be very meditative!
