Fun, Tired and Itchy

Beth went home on Saturday and we miss her and Pearl. We all had a great time while she was here. We knit, ate, letterboxed, ate, watched movies, ate and spent some time itchy.

Beth brought with her the fixings for Cincinnati chili. This is Skyline chili served on spaghetti smothered with cheddar cheese. We all enjoyed it. The chili wasn’t like anything the husband expected but he liked it so much that he managed to eat the leftovers out of the fridge while no one was looking.

We did a fair amount of letter boxing, though the drive-by’s proved more popular and fruitful. Here is a photo from one of the two real hikes we did. The photo is taken from the top of Crow Hill in Breakheart Reservation. The walking was nice and the views spectacular but the ticks were impossible. I’m still itchy thinking about them.

We visited the New England Fiber Festival. It was so much fun but I’m afraid I forgot to take photos. To be honest the above photos are the only two I took all week. I was just too busy having fun. Details on the purchases I made at the fiber festival tomorrow.

Letterboxing sounds like a lot of fun. It’s almost like geocaching but with out fancy GPS?

I hope you didn’t have to dig out any ticks?
Letterboxing sounds so fun; sounds like geocatching? What’d you find?

Now I’m craving chili again. And I’m still itchy. The message thread on AQ didn’t help. *miss you!*

  5. Around here, I’m still finding ticks on the cats and dogs and it’s November, for heaven’s sake! Glad you had fun.
