Local Color

The flowers in the yard are starting to bloom and I am enjoying them so much. These are located on the south side of the house where we can’t see them from inside unfortunately. The peonies don’t have a lot of flowers this year but the ones that are there are lovely. My mother gave me this from a bunch she had in her yard. She had gotten hers from a neighbor. At this point mine are the only that survive. I should give them each some next year.

The poppies have lots of flowers this year but with the wind we’ve had the last couple of days many of the petals have blown away. I really like these flowers a lot and should move them to a new location in the yard so I can enjoy them a bit more.

Sorry to have disappeared yesterday. H and I went to the doctor since we both just couldn’t shake the symptoms we’ve been walking around with for too long. She has a sinus infection and I have bronchitis. Now that we’re on antibiotics we should be feeling fine in a few days.
